The atmosphere peaceful and calm.

Plot and building
The log cabin is situated so that it has access to a wonderful view. A fairway passes nearby, where both ships and boats regularly travel. The plot is as close to nature as one can get, there’s also a trail that leads to a jetty where you can take a swim. Please note that the water by the jetty is quite deep. Don’t be surprised if you feel that the cabin seems remote and distant to everything else. There’s a large patio where you can enjoy the suns all through the day. A spot where you can anchor your boat can be arranged if needed at Blidösundet. There are lots of lovely paths where you can take a walk.

Bedroom and beds
There are two bedrooms, one with a dubble bed and the other with both a single bed and a bunk bed.

Kitchen and water
In the kitchen you’ll find a fridge and freezer, stove and oven, microwave, kettle and coffee maker. Both warm and cold water is in good supply and quality, however, please make sure not to waste too much of it.

Bathroom
The bathroom features a newly installed shower, basin and odour free combustion toilet from 2018.

Other rooms
In the very open and spacious living room that connects the kitchen and the hall, there are sofas, a TV and a wonderful view out the windows.

Miscellaneous
Around the cabin you’ll find wonderful woods where you can pick mushrooms and various berries, if the season is right. You can find a whole bunch amazing paths that you can ride a bike on without much trouble.

A car ferry can transport you from Furusund to Yxlan, which’ll take about 5 minutes. This ferry makes its trip twice every hour. If you wish to visit the nearby island of Blidö you’ll have to board yet another ferry, which will also take about 5 minutes. Blidö is well worth a visit. One can also reach the cabin by bus and boat, you’ll have to walk for 2 kilometers though.

All shopping is done in the small kiosk by the ferry station on Yxlan or at the gas station in Furusund. There you can find access to alcohol, apothecary and postal services. On Blidö there is also a store, along with a restaurant and various summer activities. The amazing summer city of Norrtälje is not far off, 40 kilometers. There you can have lunch onboard the old steamer S/S Norrtelje which lays in port.

You can also make a trip to the wonderful Åland islands in Finland. “Eckerölinjen” is a company that regularly makes day long trips there with their own ships from Grisslehamn a bit to the north. Or if you prefer, you could also take a “Viking Line” ship from Kapellskär near Norrtälje.

Regular boat trips are made from Ahlsvik and Yxlö towards the outer edges of the archipelago.
The surrounding countryside has made its living off farming and fishing.

You rent the object weekly, which begins and ends on Saturdays. Sheets and towels are available for rent for 150 SEK per person. Final cleaning can be booked for 1500 SEK. If you choose to do the cleaning yourselves, a deposition of 1500 SEK has to be made, which will be returned to you when you depart, provided that the cleaning is satisfactory to the host.

It has occurred that wells dried out in the archipelago. We therefore urge our tenants to be careful about water consumption with regard to access and environment.
