Söderviken, Ornö

If you get the urge to do some fishing, it’ll be easy with the included rowing boat. From Dalarö port there’s a boat that’ll take you to Södervikens jetty on Ornö. And after walking a mere 500 metres, or 5 minutes, you’ll arrive by the house.

Plot and buildings
The plot is quite secluded. 300 metres away you’ll find a wonderful bathing spot. You’ll also be able to make use of the included rowing boat. (Possible other boat solutions, pilot pulpit boat, can be discussed on request.)If you wish to use your own boat that can probably be arranged. Natural plot with plenty of sun during the day. At about 1.5 km distance, walking through a beautiful forest, lies a nice lake with a jetty. The cottage has a large lovely balcony facing the plot with the possibility of barbecue and several seating areas are available. The guest cabin has a small balcony with seating area.

Bedrooms
The cottage has two bedrooms with two single beds in each room. The guest house has two extra beds in a sofa bed.

Kitchen and water
Hot and cold water from your own well is available. The kitchen includes a fridge, freezer, microwave, stove with oven, coffee maker, toaster and a kettle. Dining table can accomodate 4 people.
It has occurred that wells have run dry in the archipelago. We therefore urge our tenants to be economical with their water consumption regarding access and environment.

Bathroom
The fully tiled bathroom features a functional electrical toilet that will make using it easier and more hygienical. There’s also a wash basin and a shower.

Other rooms
The living room has four arm chairs, a TV and a stove. There is access to a wood supply.

Miscellaneous
Mobile coverage is good and internet with wifi is scheduled to be made available for spring 2019. Its an hour to Arlanda and about 40 min to Stockholm.
This place knows nothing but peace and quiet. Lovely walkways over the jetty and the mysterious forests. If you like walking, it is about 10 km to Ornö church, hometown museum and a school. That part of the island also sees car traffic. At nearby Kymmendö there is a restaurant and grocery store, you can go there by a “Waxholmbolaget” boat or the included motorboat. To Dalarö you can also go with the Waxholm boat. Dalarö is a historically important place where there are customs museums, restaurants, bakeries, shops and more. There are also incredibly beautiful views from the so-called "America mountain". In short, Dalarö has all the services, history and archipelago charm that is difficult to find elsewhere. Tours with “Waxholmsbolaget” can also be made to Utö and Huvudskär.

For those interested in sailing and action, we can highly recommend the extremely long sandy beach of Schweitzerdalen on Dalarö. Here you will find warm and child friendly bathing spots, winds for surfing, kiteboarding, etc.

You go here by boat departing from Strömkajen close to the Grand Hotel in central Stockholm, from Saltsjöbaden or from Dalarö Hotel jetty.

For rent weekly with Saturday change.
Cleaning can be booked for 1,000 kr. (The guest makes the dishes, puts any rented linen in the laundry basket and carry away garbage to the bin.)
Sheets and towels can be booked for 150 SEK / person.
Discount: Week 1 = full price. Week 2 or more = 10% discount.
